Google blocked IPv6 without mercy

A proxy is a really cool device to save traffic and to "surf" faster. If such a proxy is used by many clients, problems can occur. Traffic of all those people comes together on a single machine. So one may suddenly have to solve captchas when searching.

We are an ISP and provide a proxy for all of our customers. Many of them take this advantage. Especially companies tend to cascade proxies and enforce their usage. This ends up on our proxy having really a lot of customers. And many of those use the services of Google.

Since yesterday Google claims too much traffic sporadically and insist on solving captchas lösen, in order to ensure that the request was generated by a human being. This sucks.

But there is a request form to raise the limits. But this seems to be a little stale:

google-unblock-ipv6

What an evidence of incapacity.

Update

Due to personal contacts, the problem report finally reached the developers. And they fixed the problem.

Excellent work, Google!
